With Covid restrictions easing, we know it can be hard to keep track of what event types can go ahead and what the different rules are. To help you navigate the uncertainty, we’ve put together a list of COVID-19 FAQs to give you some information on the questions we’ve been asked the most. We’ll be updating this page in line with any changes to Government advice and will always ensure that we’re doing everything we can to keep you informed and ensure your events are as safe as possible.

Are your venues open?

All of our venues are open for all types of events including conferences, exhibitions, trade shows, charity auctions and private dining events such as charity or gala dinners and awards ceremonies.

Will there still be social distancing in place at your venue?

In line with Government guidance, the social distancing rule no longer applies, meaning there are no restrictions on numbers, except the physical capacity of the room, of people attending your event or wedding. However, if you would prefer a social distanced layout for your event just let us know when you make your enquiry.

Will you still have Covid secure measures in your venues?

For the ongoing safety and comfort of everyone our venues will continue to operate as a minimum:

  • Increased frequency of cleaning activities.
  • Sanitising stations will remain located around the venue and are available for everyone to use.

Will I have to wear a face covering?

Where a premises or part of a premises is being used for an event where the main activities include eating, drinking and dancing, face coverings are not required. Face coverings must be worn in communal areas of the premises not being used for the event, such as in a hotel lobby when an event is taking place in a conference room.

Will your venue staff be wearing PPE?

We recommend that our teams wear appropriate face coverings and PPE when serving guests and working with other employees.

Will your staff still be tested for Coronavirus?

Until further notice, for everyone's safety, many of our venue team members will complete lateral flow tests, each week.

Do I need to show an NHS COVID Pass?

In line with Government guidance, from 15th December 2021, our venues are taking steps to make sure that all visitors aged 18 or above show an NHS COVID Pass, or approved proof of vaccination, testing, or an exemption, to enter the venue or event if the following applies:

  • Indoor events with 500 or more attendees, where those attendees are likely to stand or move around for all or part of the event, such as music venues with standing audiences or large receptions.
  • Outdoor events with 4,000 or more attendees, where those attendees are likely to stand or move around for all or part of the event, such as outdoor festivals.
  • Events with 10,000 or more attendees, whether indoor or outdoor, such as large sports and music events.

Evidence of natural immunity must not be accepted as an alternative to proof of vaccination or testing.

Do I have to check-in with the NHS Track & Trace app?

In line with Government guidance, there is now no requirement to check-in to the venue with the NHS Track & Trace app. However, we strongly advise you continue to use this service to help keep everyone safe.

What if Government Covid restrictions return & I need to cancel my event?

We understand everyone’s event and cancellation circumstance is different so please get in touch with us to discuss further.

If the venue has to close temporarily due to Coronavirus, will I get a full refund?

Yes of course, but we ask you get in touch with us to arrange this for you.
