At the moment its difficult enough to ‘manage’ just about anything. As an industry we are in unprecedented times, and with a changing situation which only adds to instability. There is no real textbook to get through this, but if we work together, we know we can, and we will.

So, see below, our own thought and guidance that may be of use to meeting and events planners during this uncertain time.
Some meetings just can’t afford to move due to the importance of the discussions, and we don’t think anyone can blame people involved in public health or the emergency services for getting their heads together for a meeting. Equally, many industries and businesses are going through unprecedented change, and if Zoom, Skype or Google Hangout won’t cut it, a face to face is important for people’s lives and livelihoods.
Equally some meetings are looking to postpone. This is a real shame; meetings and events exist because they need to, and we’re committed to getting these events back on track as soon as we can. We’ll work with you as a team to get them back in the diary and get your businesses moving as soon as possible. At the moment, guidance around dates, insurance and even when we can confidently rebook these meetings is constantly changing. Luckily, we have an award-winning customer service team, and we’ll work with you at this time to the best of our ability.
At some point the light at the end of the tunnel will get bigger and we will all be able to put this episode behind us. When it does though, we at Lime Venue Portfolio think we have an amazing opportunity to reinvent ourselves again. We genuinely believe that post this crisis we will see a different global approach to air travel, CSR will be back on the agenda, companies will be putting planet before profit, and we’ll be looking at a worldwide response to looking after what we have, better.
We’ll also see new technologies emerge and businesses looking at new ways of bringing people together in a creative and inspiring way.
At Lime Venue Portfolio, we’re focused on doing our bit to get us through the current crisis, but we’re also investing in what the industry could look like on the other side, and how we can support our customers into this new world.
