Lime Venue Portfolio (LVP): Hi Liz, thank you for taking the time to talk to us. What sort of clients do you work with at Right Venues?

Liz Ackland (LA):  Right Venues works with various market sectors within the corporate market, ranging from finance, media, retail, fashion and IT.


LVP: The events industry does touch all market sectors. It’s no surprise you work with various market sectors, thus making Right Venues very knowledgeable across other industries alongside events. Why do your customers choose to work with you?

LA: We believe it is because we provide a very personal and professional service, we know our customers and we relate to them and understand their needs. Each client has one main contact of staff for their account at all times.

LVP: A personalised service for clients is very beneficial, along with having one member of staff for their account. Everything is one place would certainly make the clients life easier. What is the best project you have worked on and why?

LA: The Cannes Film Festival 2015, we worked directly with a media client arranging and supporting a themed thank you reception for their clients. We arranged transfers, venue catering, set build and decoration, it was challenging but a lot of fun and celebrity spotting.


LVP: The Cannes Film Festival – WOW! When looking for a venue for events you’re planning, what are the key elements you look for?

LA: The first element is the capacity and capabilities of the venue along with creditable standards of service and, the next important element is the first contact with the venue staff and how they approach and deal with the enquiry whether they are open flexible and accommodating rather than creating walls and obstacles.

LVP: Flexibility at a venue is key! This is why all of our venues do everything they possibly can to meet a client’s brief. Do you enjoy organising events at unusual venues?

LA: It is great when we receive a brief from clients for something more unusual than a conference, for example an awards dinner is also fun as we get to be more creative with the theme and dressing of the venue space, a great one for this is the Natural History Museum London part of Lime Venue Portfolio, it is such an impressive venue with so much history and character and offers that wow factor clients are looking for.
