For a limited time only this winter, the East Wing of Somerset House is available for hire.
The East Wing offers direct access to the iconic Edmond J. Safra Fountain Courtyard and an opulent view of our world famous building.
It is an ideal space for press days, drinks receptions for up to 300, intimate lunches and dinners. “We had the most wonderful time putting on our event with Somerset House. The Operations staff and security were really helpful, had genuine enthusiasm for our event and were great to work with. The event itself went down an absolute storm, so much so that we’ve been asked to repeat it twice since! “ - Disney
“The event went very well. The Ops Manager was fabulous, totally relaxed and willing to accommodate changes in our schedule and pretty much anything else we asked for. The room was beautiful and everyone was extremely happy with the location.” - Group Marketing Director, Innocent Drinks
“It was a pleasure working with all members of the staff at Somerset House who helped make sure that the private views and show ran seamlessly. The show was a great press success for BAFTA and Somerset House the ideal venue. We are very happy.” - BAFTA
For those just looking to soak up the festive atmosphere, Fortnum & Mason offer sanctuary by way of retail therapy in the Christmas Arcade. This autumn also sees Hair By Sam McKnight in the Embankment Galleries, an exhibition looking at hair from a new perspective and contextualising its wider cultural significance and the role of the session stylist within fashion. It will include some of the most iconic images in popular culture and some of fashion’s most memorable looks, from Princess Diana’s short, slicked back style to Madonna’s Bedtime Stories, and Tilda Swinton channelling David Bowie. Private tours of the exhibition can be arranged alongside venue hire.
The East Wing is available for hire from the 24th October.
