LVP as a member of ABPCO, hosted the September ABPCO Roundtable Event
The Association of British Professional Conference Organisers Limited (ABPCO) was founded in 1981 and incorporated as a company limited by guarantee in 1987. Their key objective is to facilitate, advise, mentor and offer guidance to those seeking the essential quality standards required to deliver a professional event.
We had the opportunity to host the event recently (15th September 2017) from 11am - 1pm at the stunning Kia Oval.
‘What keeps you awake at night’ was the discussion title at the two consecutive roundtables, where agency PCOs and In-house PCOs networked and shared best practise on challenges that they are currently facing. The PCO attendees included: Diabetes UK, BAUS, Royal College of Radiologists, Alzheimer’s UK, Royal College of Physicians, NCRI, Macmillan Cancer Support and Opening Doors & Venues.
"The whole team looked after us very well, which gave us the freedom to concentrate on the discussions. I really appreciated that. Please do pass on my thanks to everyone involved."
Heather Lishman, Association Director
After a joint networking lunch, the two groups collaborated in a plenary session and shared their findings from the morning sessions. An EGM was held after the Roundtable Event, which concluded the day.

ABPCO is one of very few UK conference and event industry associations to select Full and Associate Members based on peer assessment. This means that clients and suppliers can expect ABPCO Members to deliver business and ethical standards in the management of national and international association and corporate conferences, seminars, meetings, exhibitions and other events.Back to articles
