Overview
In the heart of the City of London, just a few yards from St Paul's Cathedral off an ancient bye way, stands the magnificent mansion house of the Worshipful Company of Saddlers, in a position it has occupied for over 600 years.
The Company is proud of its heritage and to this day remains a "working" company. Alongside its broad charitable, educational and training aims it retains a close involvement with the British saddlery trade. The Company also supports all aspects of British equestrianism and awards prizes for a wide range of competitions, to encourage good young British riders to use good British saddlery.
The superbly elegant Great Hall features a musicians’ gallery, silver display case and portraits of Past Masters of the Company.
The Hall is a flexible venue suited for many types of events and is capable of catering for up to 250 guests for a reception or 139 for a dinner. The Livery Room, Court Room and Wardens Room are suitable for meetings, presentations, document signings, lunches, dinners and product launches. The Tunnel Room has a fascinating collection of both ancient and modern saddlery.
Catering
Payne and Gunter is committed to presenting excellent, fresh & contemporary food. In accordance with their philosophy, menus are based on a theme of “Excellent British Food with a Twist”.
With many years of experience of operating in unusual venues and at the most prestigious events, Payne and Gunter has the operations and logistical knowledge to ensure that events of every size are run efficiently and effectively.
