Overview
Bristol Zoo is an all year round venue set in 12 acres of beautiful grounds located just 2 miles from the city centre. Holding an event here provides an unrivalled opportunity for your clients, guests or team members to experience something unique and inspiring. With over 450 species of exotic and endangered animals, Bristol Zoo is truly a venue that will suit events of all shapes and sizes.
Bristol Zoo Gardens has extensive hospitality facilities. From small workshop meetings through to large scale staff entertainment in the grounds or celebratory dinners, the can accommodate a variety of event requirements.
The Pavilion is an elegant Grade II listed building purpose built for grand functions and comprising of a number of spectacular rooms, varying in size and ambience, most of which have unique views of the zoo’s beautiful gardens. The building’s graceful architecture is in keeping with the 1920’s featuring light and airy high ceilings and a balcony on the first floor. Having been recently refurbished, the Pavilion is ideal for meetings, conferences, weddings and parties. Although administered independently, the Clifton Pavilion is part of Bristol Zoo Gardens, which is a non-profit making conservation and education charity. A portion of the profits made by the Clifton Pavilion go directly to fund the important conservation and education work of Bristol Zoo Gardens.
The Lecture Theatre, equipped with full modern audio visual system can accommodate up to 119 in tiered seating. Attached to the adaptable Clifton Suite with its own balcony, the two rooms combine to provide an excellent meetings and events space.
For a real sense of place the Garden Room comes complete with Zoo themed motifs and direct access into the Zoo Gardens. When you book the Garden Room for an evening event you can also enjoy exclusive use of a terrace and patio garden area. For smaller board meetings or training seminars, the Members and Council Rooms can accommodate up to 25 people.
In addition to these spaces, it is possible to hire the entire zoo grounds for an evening complete with private viewings of the animal houses. These are popular for large staff parties, summer performances, and family fun days, barbeques and even a formal dinner dance.
Catering
The finest, freshest ingredients are the starting point for Milburn’s outstanding food. Their chefs base their cooking on the best of traditional British dishes, combined with the contemporary flavours of Europe, to produce a range of tastes to stimulate any palate.
The innovative approach to menu development means that you can constantly enjoy new menus and fresh dishes that reflect the changing seasons.
