Leicester recognised as leader of the pack



Leicester City Football Club has been recognised as the best in the Championship at the Official Football Hospitality Awards 2010.

The event, attended by representatives of football clubs from the Premier League through to League 2, acknowledged the best of football hospitality nationwide, with the Foxes leading the way by bagging commendations in a hat-trick of categories on the night.

Highly Regarded

Leicester City’s status as having what is widely regarded as some of the best matchday hospitality in the country was confirmed when the club received the Gold award for Matchday Hospitality Experience within the Championship. The award was based on continued excellence in the field of matchday hospitality and was voted for by an independent judging panel made up of professional chefs using a strict points scoring criteria.

The accolades did not end there with a further two awards coming in the shape of the bronze award in the Media Choice category, narrowly missing out to Premier League Manchester City (Winner) and Aston Villa (Silver), and the prestigious Chairman’s Award for Innovation awarded to the club.

Leicester City Chief Executive, Lee Hoos, expressed his delight at winning the awards: “To be recognised ahead of some great clubs really shows the level of effort that is put in behind the scenes to ensure that our matchdays are among the best in the country.

“These awards are a credit to those who are part of our team here at the Walkers Stadium, but it is also a great testament to our hospitality customers, whose demands we strive to meet in search of the excellence that has been generously rewarded.”
