The Movers and Shakers

Definately A Smart Move

Lime Venue Portfolio's Smart Move Seminar

Dartmouth House hosted the first of our networking seminars for event organisers on a glorious summer’s evening in late May.

The event was opened by Lime Venue Portfolio’s Head, Louise Amphlett, who welcomed the guests to the inaugural networking session over some wonderful savoury canapés and sparkling wine served in the cool evening sunshine of the courtyard.

“What a great evening it was at Dartmouth House, I am looking forward to the next event already.”

Louise gave a brief overview of our expanding portfolio of event venues and the rapid increase in popularity of unusual venues as organisers realise the role they play in increasing attendee numbers and also ensuring attendees are fully focused and alert when they arrive at the event.

A bit of a Work Out

Guests were then invited to explore the versatile events spaces of the venue for themselves and moved up the impressive marble staircase to the first floor of the house. Louise then handed over to The Mind Gym who delivered a rousing session about personal development and positive thought designed to enable individuals to spot opportunities and to maximise their own personal outlook.

Enthused and invigorated, delegates were then given a brief overview on the importance of personal image in the work place as Michele Ferron-Leckie and Linda Pitts, discussed the importance of clothing colour and cut in the office environment.

The evening finished with sumptuous canapé sweets including crème brulee and chocolate brownies as guests networked and made some useful contacts. Dartmouth House not only provided a wonderful setting for our event, but also delicious canapés which perfectly demonstrated the award-winning catering on offer at our venues.

Great Feedback

Guest, Angela Connolly, emailed us after the event commenting “what a great evening it was yesterday at Dartmouth House, a great evening had by myself and Elaine Cameron. I am looking forward to the next event already.”
