Phased Development
The erection of the 1,150 sq metre marquee at Edgbaston, the home of Warwickshire County Cricket Club, marked the first phase in the development of the ground’s ambitious £32m redevelopment plans, back in March. Since then, The Jaguar Suite has played host to a number of high-profile events including a two-day conference and exhibition for 200 delegates, a series of black tie events for 400 + guests and a wedding.
The marquee’s flexibility, quality and fantastic value along with its central location have been citied as major contributing factors for event organisers who have chosen the suite for their functions. Perfect for all occasions from product launches and exhibitions to award ceremonies, the venue boasts a stylish reception area with private bar. It can seat up to 350 delegates cabaret style and 550 theatre style.
Internally, the marquee has an integrated PA and lights’ rig, impressive ‘star cloth’ ceiling adds a touch of magic to any event and, a heating and cooling system to keep the venue at the perfect temperature no matter the weather. There is also car parking for over 400 vehicles on-site.
Helen Johnson, head of Non-Matchday Sales at Edgbaston, said: “The specification and size of the marquee has really wowed our clients and our enviable location within easy reach of Birmingham New Street train station, Birmingham International Airport and the major road networks, is proving a major draw. We are already being recognised, the region over, as a serious conference and events venue.”
