Beaulieu chosen by Facebook Couple

Couple, Nicola Webb and Simon Parker choose Beaulieu for their forthcoming wedding, after seeing pictures on Facebook.

Recognised as being one of life’s milestone days, weddings are deeply personal with venue choice often being made from experience as a guest or lifelong aspirations.

Nicola and Simon, who had already chosen a venue, decided to move their nuptials to Beaulieu, the home of the Montagu family, the 13th Century Beaulieu Abbey and the world renowned National Motor Museum, after glancing pictures of its historic buildings on Facebook. A site inspection clinched it and the wedding duly moved.

Bride to be Nicola Webb said: “We use Facebook a great deal to communicate with friends and family - we certainly didn’t expect to find the venue of our dreams through it! As soon as we saw the visuals we recognised that it was the venue that would fulfil all of our dreams. The team at Beaulieu were so accommodating we knew that we had to relocate our wedding as soon as possible”.

Gemma Moody, Sales Manager for Beaulieu, said: “We may be one of the most historic wedding venues in the UK but that by no way means that we preclude technology. Nicola and Simon’s wedding is testament to the fact that the internet and social media is an important resource for couples looking for a wedding.”
