Job Title: Business Development Manager - Agents

Location: Chelsea FC, London

Overall Purpose of the Role:

To proactively manage and promote facilities to third party agencies and monitor conversion for non matchday business.  Proactively promote Meeting and Event facilities at Chelsea Football Club. To work closely with the Meetings and Events Sales Manager and Head of Business Development:

Responsible for

  • Proactively sell CFC events space to UK and international event agencies, generating high levels of event enquiries & maximising enquiry conversion
  • Proactive role based 75% on the road, 25% office
  • Weekly research to be undertaken of new business agencies via sales calls & LinkedIn sales navigator.
  • Account management of assigned top M&E agency accounts and management of override campaign with assigned agents
  • Representation of CFC event space within industry networking events and associations
  • Manage agency database with regular updates working closely with Marketing and CRM departments
  • Completion of assigned sales activities which will include familiarisation trips, office visits, hosting on the hospitality table, exhibition attendance and association representation
  • Influence on M&E marketing and PR campaigns in order to target new business
  • Ensure that any enquiries that require assistance in follow up and/or conversion are followed up and updated on the system
  • High level of communication with team members and other departments
  • Host on ad hoc match days on the Hospitality table with a members of the M&E or BD Team

Job Title: Events Co-ordinator/Manager

Location: The 02 Arena, London

Overall Purpose of the Role:

Oversee all aspects of event planning and management, including internal and external events, with experience planning exhibitions and large business-to-business events.

Responsible for

  • Creating event proposals which fit client requirements and presenting proposals by deadline
  • Maintaining a working relationship with vendors and venues
  • Planning event aspects, such as venue, seating, dining, and guest list
  • Delegating event planning tasks to other staff members where necessary
  • Demonstrating to clients strong knowledge of venues and vendor offerings and taking clients on tours of venue possibilities
  • Coordinating event entertainment, including music, performers, and guest speakers
  • Staying under budget while planning event specifications
  • Issuing invoices and collecting payments in a timely manner, and creating comprehensive and readable financial reports
  • Managing and overseeing events on the day of, including problem-solving, welcoming guests, directing event set-up, communicating with staff, and organising vendors
  • Communicating with marketing team to create effective advertisements for each event, and when necessary crafting marketing materials such as print and Internet advertisements for individual events
  • Anticipating and planning for different scenarios
  • Creating sales opportunities for future events during client liaisons and during events, including possessing a strong working knowledge of the company to further these sales opportunities
  • Planning multiple events at once
  • Responsible for yearly turnover of £2.5M


Job Title: Regional C&E Business Development Executive

Overall Purpose of the Role:

We are currently looking for a Regional C&E Business Development Executive with account management experience and the ability to proactively drive the conference and events business for the East Region’s Racecourses and convert sales enquiries into confirmed business. They will support the Regional Conference & Events Manager and Regional Sales Manager in maximising sales from new and existing customers. The ideal person will have a proven record of sales negotiation and will support the Conference & Events sales and operations team in the East Region.

Overall Purpose of the Role:

  • To maintain a strong relationship with event organisers during coordination, execution and evaluation stages of the catering services at their exhibitions or conferences
  • To communicate efficiently with colleagues and venue managers during the planning stages of the events to deliver exceptional catering services
  • To facilitate sales, and strengthen client and contractual relationships ensuring that we are true partners in their business
