The unique and unusual venue sector was well represented last week at the UK Venue Awards, with Lime Venue Portfolio client venues making up a substantial percentage of the winners at the highly-credited award ceremony.

Among the winners on the night were The National Railway Museum, who picked up Best Christmas Corporate Party Venue; Imperial War Museum North, for Best Historic Venue; Ricoh Arena – Wasps, for Best Sporting Venue for Events; Hever Castle, for Best Wedding Venue; and Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC), who received the Best Event Venue – over 1,000 attendees. Finally, The Troxy, part of Lime Venue Portfolio’s sister company Payne & Gunter, also picked up Best Awards Ceremony Venue at the event.

The results showed not only the growing strength and influence of unique venues within the UK venue market place, but also the quality of food, service and facilities that is found across the Lime Venue Portfolio.

“Our brilliant portfolio members made up nearly a third of all the winners on the night, and a great chunk of the Silver and Bronze level accolades,” commented Jenner Carter, Head of Marketing, Lime Venue Portfolio. “It’s a brilliant advert for our venue’s and for the wider unique and unusual market; a great way for us to start the celebrations for our 10th Birthday later this year.
