Each year, our internal staff development program, Growing with LVP, takes a group of our top performing venue sales people and seeks to support them in their personal development and growth. The program broadens their knowledge of our business and the conference and events industry as a whole through tailored workshops on subjects including, finance, marketing, account management and operations. By taking the time to step back and work in small groups to understand these importance areas, our Growing with LVP mentees are able to network, share best practice, and adopt a more holistic viewpoint of teh business and market. The aim is to support the mentees, ensure that they are developing and help them grow to become our leaders of the future.
Last week, the 2016 intake finalised their journey with their final workshop and experience. It was my opportunity to take the group on a journey into my world, the world of marketing. It also gave us all the chance to experience an event in one of our newer venues - NY-LON at The O2.
The excitement of heading to such an iconic venue as The O2 was shared by all of us, and that excitement is only enhanced by the exclusivity, privacy and atmosphere created by entering The Secret Meeting Room! After a great workshop (well I would say that!), we enjoyed the delicious tapas style lunch meeting menu whilst relaxing in the Turbine Lounge with its impressively stocked cocktail bar.
We refrained from an alcoholic treat because the next step on our day was to suit up and walk OVER The O2. What an experience, and a great end to the day!
